What are BACKSTOCK desk mats made of?
Every BACKSTOCK desk mat is built to one standard: a micro-woven polyester top for cloth-smooth mouse tracking, bonded to a 4mm non-slip natural-rubber base, with overlocked stitched edges that won't fray or peel. The surface is water-resistant and machine washable, so it's built to be used, not babied.
What sizes do the desk mats come in?
Two sizes. Medium is 80 × 40 cm, ideal for compact desks. Large is 90 × 40 cm, a proper large desk pad and XL mouse pad with full-width room for a keyboard, mouse and a laptop. Large is our most popular size.
Is a desk mat the same as a mouse mat or desk pad?
Yes. A desk mat, desk pad, mouse mat and large mousepad all describe the same product: an oversized pad that gives your keyboard and mouse one smooth, continuous surface. A BACKSTOCK mat is simply a designed version of it.
Do they work as a gaming mouse pad?
Definitely. The micro-woven cloth top gives fast, precise tracking for any optical or gaming mouse, with far more swing room than a small pad, so it doubles as a gaming desk pad. It just looks like a designed studio piece instead of RGB gaming gear.

How do I clean my desk mat?
Day to day, wipe it with a damp cloth. For a deeper clean, machine wash it cold on a gentle cycle and air-dry flat, with no wringing, ironing or tumble drying, which can damage the rubber base.
